Prevention on the street
.- How it was said: We all have the right to be safe.
.- While it is important to know and exercise this right, keep in mind that adopting practical personal safety strategies can help reduce the risk of victimization and help you respond effectively if your safety is threatened.
.- Be careful of your surroundings; especially when using headphones or talking on your mobile phone.
.- If strangers approach you, use your sense of security as a guide. Don't ignore your instinct. Remove yourself from the situation if you feel unsafe. It is better to be rude than to expose yourself.
